2026-2027 School Year
Core Program
Our core program is our interdisciplinary main lesson that emphasizes deep knowledge of science and the arts and respect for our world and all its
inhabitants. We provide a customized, spiral curriculum, designed to cater to a wide range of ages and abilities. Topics are revisited in new and creative ways to ensure high retention of core concepts. The curriculum is designed with the input of our students and families and is interactive and engaging, providing regular opportuities for hands-on learning.
Our core programming is held every Tuesday and Wednesday from
11:00 AM to 1:15 PM
Lower Elementary Core Program (approximate grade levels Pre-K - 2)
Students will explore a variety of unit studies in areas that are deeply connected to nature. Using art, engineering, and movement, along with traditional
educational methods, students will work together to explore big ideas, make connections, and think critically about the world they live in. This class will deliver strong academic content in a gentle and age-appropriate manner and is targeted to younger school-aged children ready to learn in a formal setting, as well as older elementary children who enjoy room to move and explore new ideas at their pace.
Upper Elementary Core Program (approximate grade levels 2 - 5)
Students will take an in-depth approach to unit studies, diving deeply into topics that span all the major branches of science. Using art, engineering, and experimentation, students will seek to understand the interconnectedness of our world. Students will begin to work more collaboratively as they explore big ideas that govern the natural world. Students in this class should be able to work independently for large portions of the class and should be reading and writing.
Middle School Core Program (approximate grade levels 5 - 8)
Students will take an in-depth approach to exploring fundamental scientific principles of the three major branches of science: chemistry, physical science, and biology. Content is challenging, encourages scientific inquiry, and focuses on real-world examples. The course is designed for maximum student
engagement with regular lab experiments, engineering and design projects, and art extensions. Students in this class require grade appropriate reading and math skills and must be able to work independently.
Optional Courses
Optional classes are offered as full year courses and can be taken alone or in conjunction with the core DaVinci school program. Discounted pricing is available for students enrolled in the core program.
